me (mary) and my daughter (charissa) on our way to the Crosby FG's show!! we listened to UK cd's all the way there!! we had concert shirts from the concert in hutchinson KS on march17th!! yep, my husband and i drove all the way to kansas to see uncle kracker!! For the crosby show my girls and i made colorful posters with words from different songs, example: UK youre better than the best!, u make me smile!, and my favorite...when the sun goes down, i want to drift away with you!! while we were waiting for the show two women who were sitting behind us saw our shirts and posters and decided that the girls and i should get to go backstage with them instead of their husbands!! So through the kindness of strangers our dream came true!! we got to meet Uncle Kracker! he signed our posters and took pictures w/us! during the show we were front and center! the four of us held most of his attention!! when i yelled I LOVE YOU! he smiled and pointed and said LOVE YOU TOO! i nearly fainted!!

    All I wanted for Christmas was the 'Happy Hour' cd. Ever since it has been played almost every single day! My whole family loves it. For our anniversary the hubs and I drove to KS to see UK in concert. So that i would be prepared and familiar with his earleir music, I ordered the other 3 cd's (double wide, seventy two and sunny,& no stranger to shame). Im addicted,I hardly ever listen to anything else. UK's songs dont just entertain me, they have also helped me heal from some very painful parts of my life. Instead of dwelling on the pain, I was able to change my perspective and see how much stronger I am for having gone through those times. And that makes me SMILE and say DAMN! IT FEELS GOOD TO BE ME! Im so glad i got to meet him to tell him thank you! I dedicate DRIFT AWAY to Uncle Kracker!
