I am a ski Tech on the top of a Mtn in NC on the weekends.The boards that i rent out are nicer than my personal board which is an antique and i have had forever!!! I live less than 5 min from the Mtn, you would think i would have a nicer board than what i have!!!! Edges are gone the bottom of the board is scratched like no other and there are chips and missing pieces all over!!! My sticker job and duck tape is what hides the cracks and missing pieces!! I even dropped my board off at the tech. shop in town and they laughed at me when i asked them to tune it up... Then asked if it was possible to touch it without it breaking in half. Im a 20 year old girl and a full time college student! My 21st birthday is April 8th!! It would be amazing to have a Corona board to go out and ride on my 21st birthday while drinking a Corona!!! Plus i am one of those kids who has an Ipod in while ridding. So singing 'follow me' going down the mountain as i pass the people who i set up on snowboards and skies earlier that day always gets a laugh outta people!! Then 'When the sun goes down' for my night ridding playlist! It would be amazing to have a board that i am proud of and it would be Greatly appreciated!! Thank You!Casey Wainwright
My kids have just learned about snowboarding a week ago. I can't get them to come inside, they love it sooooooo much. They are 7 and 9. The 7 year old is amazing. He has been skateboarding since he was 3. Now he is doing olies, riding long boards on the quarter pipe doing rock the fakey ( whatever the heck that is) and he plays ice hockey. The 9 year old she can't stand on a skateboard if it were in the grass with no trucks. But she jumped on this snowboard with no fear and took off, her face lite up, she finely found something that she can do. Right now they have to share their fathers 1996 Apocalypse snowbard and as you can imagine the bindings are huge.They strap the toe strap and just slip the toe of their boot in. The seven year old tried grinding down a 4x4 that he put in the snow yesterday, but his feet come out of the bindings. I dont have money to spend on snowboards because I recently started going back to school so that hopefully one day I can buy them these type of things. I wish there was a way for you to see them on this board, which is as tall as they are. They are really good kids and huge Uncle Kracker fans. As a matter of fact they are coming to see you on 4-4-10 at the Recher Theater in Towson. Their grandfather is the head of all of the shows at the Recher Theater so he has made special arrangements for them to be there and hopefully meet you. They have school the next day and we live an hour and half away, but we wil be there. I know other contestants are reading my post and I just wanted to say good luck to everyone.
