    Hi all,

We just received a great fan letter/email re: Uncle Kracker and wanted to share it with all of you.  Check it out below.

    Uncle Kracker Sings

"Last week, I traveled to Michigan for The Lite Up Detroit concert to watch the Miller Lite/Urban Farming sponsored Uncle Kracker, Carolina Liar and Ty Stone show.  As soon as the doors to the gorgeous Fillmore opened, hoards of people eagerly filtered into the venue awaiting the show.  Uncle Kracker was the headliner and it quickly became evident how much love Detroit has for him.  As soon as he hit the stage, people scrambled from the lobby, bar and even the VIP mezzanine to the packed floor.  Despite his record having just been released the day prior, the majority of the audience seemed to know every word to every song and sang along proudly. While Kracker had shows in NYC leading up to this one, I can't imagine the crowd reaction was as intense or as loyal as what I witnessed in Detroit.  There's something about seeing an artist perform in front of their hometown audience that is unique to any other live experience- a deeper connection that isn't felt anywhere else.  The band was killer- they absolutely tore through every hit song in Kracker's catalog, playing for little over an hour and getting a massive response from "Smile."  As everyone filtered out of the venue, I overheard dozens of comments about how 'amazing' Kracker was live and how they were 'so happy he was making music again.'  Beyond the night being a complete success, this show solidified in my mind that Uncle Kracker is back.

Not to be forgotten, Carolina Liar and Ty Stone had impressive sets themselves.  Considering CL was the only band not from Detroit, they had the challenge of converting the predominantly male crowd, which they acheieved with their infectiously catchy set. It seemed that with every song, the crowd became less and less skeptical and more inclined to dance.  Once they began "Show Me What I'm Looking For", it dawned on the audience that this was the song they had kept hearing on the radio and they just went nuts.  From this moment on, the band had the audience in the palm of their collective Southern/Swedish hands.  I felt they conquered a lot of new ears that night and if this is any indication how they'll fare on the Rob Thomas tour, then I think they will gain a lot of new fans.

Ty Stone and his band opened the show and sounded flawless. He unveiled several new songs from his Atlantic debut, which the crowd couldn't seem to get enough of.  Overall, the venue was overflowing with content fans proving that the night was definitely a huge success!!!  Videos below."

Not a bad letter to receive.
