A Lake Orion graduate, Jesse Jaymz quickly jumped into the DJ/music world. He started out with used DJ Gear jammed into the back of a 1966 Plymouth Fury. DJ-ing house parties and small smoked-filled bars from Detroit to northern Michigan.
During those 16+ years of DJ-ing Jesse found himself partying in rooms with the likes of local celebrities and party go-ers alike. He wrote, recorded and produced his first full-length record "Down to Biz" in '93 at The Disc Ltd. A huge break came when Lisa Lisa, a Detroit radio Disc Jockey played "The 411" in a battle of local talent. Although the song lost out, Lisa Lisa continued to play the song in short rotation.
Jesse went on to sell his tapes & followed up the record release with several local shows throughout the Detroit area. He then began a 2nd LP in 1994 which resulted in a handful of unfinished songs. Concurrently, his landscape business was taking off and allowed minimal time to pursue his 2nd record.
